Our aim is to raise awareness of the fact that there are people aboard boats with a variety of accessibility needs on our inland waterways. Our waterways also attract people who wish to enjoy the calming and restorative nature of being by water. The Accessible Waterways Association also wants to break down barriers, and influence public attitudes and behaviours toward and around disabled people.

Folkestone Electrical Recycling

Our mission is to promote reuse and recycling of unwanted electrical items in Folkestone. We have a stall in Folkestone every Saturday where the public can drop off their unwanted electricals, and a growing network of pink electrical recycling bins where people can deposit electricals. We donate working items to local charities such as Pilgrim's Hospice, Sunflower House and Rainbow Centre and everything else is recycled locally in Sittingbourne.

The Cumbria Sustainability Network (CSN) brings together groups and individuals from across the county to support each other to raise awareness of the climate crisis and encourage action to cut carbon emissions, in line with the Zero Carbon Cumbria mission to achieve net zero by 2037. The network is an important part of the Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership, ensuring that there is a strong community voice which can help influence change.

Greener & Cleaner

We are Greener and Cleaner, an inclusivity focused community sustainability charity in Southeast London. Operating on a "hub and spokes" model, our main Community Hub pilot is strategically located in The Glades shopping center. Here, local people share skills and knowledge and collaborate on projects, events and services around sustainable living and working. Its all about practical life and craft skills, creativity and fun, designed and delivered by the community, for the community. We ensure our space is accessible to everyone, especially the most climate-vulnerable, by avoiding environmental jargon where possible. Instead, we focus on practical daily support, from cost-of-living aid and employability to wellbeing and combating loneliness. Our intersectional approach warmly welcomes individuals facing social, economic and wellbeing challenges. Through intergenerational and intercultural skill-sharing, we create a supportive environment where we can all learn, contribute, and build resilience together.

Greener greenwich Community Network

The aim of GGCN is to provide a more coordinated local approach to scrutinising, working with and holding Greenwich Council to account for delivering successfully against its stated ambition to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030. Practically this includes attendance at relevant public meetings; review of written protocols, strategies and plans; preparing briefings ahead of key meetings; writing blogs oriented towards informing Greenwich residents, groups and businesses; and hosting educational meetings and workshops including Climate fresks. The network operates on the basis that a well-coordinated, cross local organisation, sustained constructive dialogue with the Council is an effective means of doing this. This dialogue will be both supportive and challenging in nature. We do this through public events and online meetings, talks, networking and education events, meetings with councillors, activity sessions and open days. We are looking into opportunities for opening a hub and are currently running a neighbourhood green spaces engagement project across Shooters Hill. We are open to collaborations and joint bids.

Clean School Air provides guidance and practical interventions for parents and teachers to improve air quality and reduce pollution in their children's schools. Chiswick Repair Cafe is a voluntary community repair initiative. We hold repair cafe events once a month, (except for holiday breaks in April, August and December) involving over 50 volunteers giving their time to repair household items for members of the public. We also host a café providing tea, coffee and cakes for people waiting for their turn to have their items fixed which provides a social hub. Visitors are asked to provide a donation towards running costs and any excess funds are donated to local and environmental charities.

Harrogate Cure

Harrogate Cure is a community initiative reviving Harrogate’s identity as a living spa town, bringing together its springs, landscapes, heritage, culture and traditions of wellbeing. We work with local people, community groups and partner organisations to develop events, projects and practical improvements that reconnect people with the town and its natural environment. Our aim is to make the idea of the Cure relevant again, not simply as history, but as a living part of everyday life in Harrogate.

Lewisham Donation Hub

Lewisham Donation Hub diverts waste from landfill; reuses or refurbishes for reuse; and then gives it away for free to those in need – serving postcodes SE, BR, and CR. We collect specific items that are on our target/priority list to meet the needs of our visitors. By acting as a multibank, Lewisham Donation Hub: - Provides an outlet for items from businesses and organisations that are destined for waste disposal, including landfill - Offers the community a local alternative to landfill disposal by encouraging reuse - Repairs and refurbishes donated items for reuse, including digital devices - Reduces food, household, and commercial waste - Educates and changes the behaviour of the general public

Malombo Music Association

Malombo Music Association is a community-led charity that uses music, culture and trusted relationships to improve health, wellbeing and social inclusion. We work alongside local residents to address health inequalities, climate resilience and the wider determinants of health through creative engagement, Community Green Ambassadors, digital inclusion, healthy homes, environmental action and community partnerships. Our approach is based on listening to local people, co-designing solutions with communities and building sustainable neighbourhood infrastructure that strengthens resilience and creates lasting positive change.

Mums for Lungs

We're the UK's leading grassroots campaign for clean air, working to protect children's health from toxic air pollution. We started in Brixton in 2017, when a group of us on parental leave noticed how polluted our streets were while out walking with our babies - and decided to do something about it. Today we raise awareness of air pollution's health impacts and campaign for effective solutions to tackle it.

Our Tech Community Reuse and Recycling Project

Our Tech Recycling Project The Our Tech Recycling Project gives unwanted technology a second life while making it accessible to people and organisations that need it most. We collect redundant computers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones and other IT equipment from homes and businesses across London, Kent and the South East. Every device is professionally assessed, with all personal data securely erased using recognised data sanitisation procedures before any refurbishment takes place. Where possible, equipment is upgraded with new components such as solid-state drives (SSDs), memory and fresh operating systems to extend its working life. Devices that are beyond economical repair are responsibly recycled through authorised recycling partners, ensuring valuable materials are recovered and electronic waste is kept out of landfill. Refurbished devices are then donated or supplied at low cost to charities, schools, community groups, families and individuals who may otherwise struggle to access reliable technology. The project helps bridge the digital divide while reducing environmental impact and supporting a more circular economy. Alongside recycling, Our Tech also provides advice on sustainable technology choices, secure disposal of old equipment and environmentally responsible IT practices. Through partnerships with local organisations and community initiatives, the project has already diverted hundreds of devices from waste and put them back into productive use. By choosing Our Tech Recycling, businesses and households can be confident that their redundant technology is handled securely, ethically and sustainably—protecting sensitive information while creating positive social and environmental benefits.

Refresh Wycombe

Refresh Wycombe is a shop which encourages reuse, recycling and creative crafting in the town centre in High Wycombe. We are open 7 days a week. Our stock is donated by local companies and individuals for reuse and is saved from waste to be used for creative uses, arts and crafts. We also run the repair cafe on the second Saturday of the month at All Saints Church and we sell a selection of household refills.

Repowering London

Repowering London gives London's communities the power to create, control and benefit from renewable energy, and play an active part in the transition to a low-carbon society. We do this through seeding, developing and supporting hyper local community owned energy projects, giving commnity based energy advice and delivering domestic retrofit projects.

Rock Mill Centre CIC

The purpose of Rock Mill Centre CIC is to provide a visitor and community centre for New Mills and the surrounding area that works towards a sustainable future for everyone. The Centre itself aims to engage people with their environment and hosts activities that support community cohesion and mutual care. We welcome visitors to the town, provide leaflets about the area and have displays about the local rivers, landscape and community. We run a small cafe and a monthly Supper Club. We are a registered Safe Space and Warm Space, throughout the winter we provide a free community meal known as Souper Fridays. We run a variety of community and environmental events and projects throughout the year and also accommodate the painting archive of the Brian Nolan Trust and the Littlest Theatre in New Mills. We are currently working with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Derbyshire Time Swap, New Mills Town Council, Nature New Mills, Visit New Mills, Walkers are Welcome New Mills and the Solitary Bee Nursery, amongst many other groups. We are intentionally pursuing the goals of the HPBC Tourism, Culture and Biodiversity Strategies.

Sheffield Community Land Trust (SCLT) is a community-led organisation established to provide genuinely affordable housing and workspaces in Sheffield through community ownership and community-led development. Our projects are aiming at high quality, climate-adapted retrofit.

South East London Community Energy-SELCE

We tackle climate change and fuel poverty at a local level. We do this through working with vulnerable clients to get a better deal on home energy issues. We do community-scale renewable generation of electricity and heat projects. We've got 23 sites currently. We work with local people from members, from clients, from partnership organisations, and through projects, working around retrofit awareness and attending events in the community, hosting events in the community, webinars, general outreach, home visits, community energy cafes. Sustainable Devizes is a volunteer group based in Devizes Wiltshire., working on community scale climate solutions and visioning a greener future for our town. We probably best known for our Swap Shops, and Community Fridge, but we work on all sorts of projects across the broad themes of Biodiversity, Cycling, Energy, Food, and Waste.

We are a group of dedicated volunteers concerned about the threats of climate change and the effect it will have for our future and our children’s future. Since we began in 2007 we have been at the forefront of climate activism in Keswick and wider Cumbria. We continue to learn about our environment and the possibilities for a better future. The projects and campaigns that we do at Sustainable Keswick work towards our 3 main goals: reducing carbon emissions, improving biodiversity and reducing waste. We believe we need to do what we can to try and live in a manner that is sustainable both for the planet and the millions of other species with which we share it.

The Green Skills Library

Green Skills Library is a Maidenhead-based social enterprise with a simple but powerful idea at its heart: - reclaim materials, build skills, and connect neighbours. We believe that practical, hands-on activity in a welcoming space is one of the most effective antidotes to social isolation and environmental waste — and that the two challenges are better solved together than apart. Anyone can walk through the door — no prerequisites, no prior experience needed. Our workshops use materials rescued from the waste stream to teach repair, upcycling, and making. Participants leave not just with something they've created, but with greater confidence, new friendships, and a growing sense of purpose. We design our sessions from the ground up to be accessible and affirming for neurodivergent people, and young people who are NEET, and anyone who has ever felt that mainstream provision wasn't quite built for them. In 2025 alone, we reached over 1,300 people, ran 100 workshops, and diverted nearly a tonne of materials from waste. Our digital home, the Good Neighbourhood app, extends that same spirit of welcome into everyday neighbourhood life. It's not social media — there are no algorithms, no infinite scroll, no pressure. Instead, it's a calm, human-centred space where local people can find events, discover volunteering and skills opportunities, connect around shared interests, and look out for one another. Accessibility is built in from the ground up, and a "read before you enter" approach means people always know what they're joining before they do. Together, the physical hub and the app form two halves of the same community infrastructure — one where everyone, whoever they are, can feel they belong.

Third Sector Leaders Kirklees - Energy Neighbours

The Energy Neighbours project takes a community capacity-building approach, working with communities, residents and community organisations, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable and sharing decision-making power. We are working for positive change together as Energy Neighbours.

Tonbridge Repair Cafe

We operate as a repair cafe, setting up in a church hall once per month on second Saturdays to receive items in need of fixing. We run occasional small outreach cafes at two other locations.

Transition Town Newham Hub

Transition_Newham is a people powered community hub dedicated to genuine collaboration across the borough. Every month, we host Open Meetings that unite grassroots organisations and local change-makers to build action plans and address Newham's most pressing issues. By activating resources from the ground up, we remain deeply rooted in our community.
